Danny began dance training at the age of 13 in Ottawa, Ontario, where he competed until he was 18. After graduating from high school, he moved to Toronto and trained closely with choreographers Linda Garneau, Tiffany McLean, Eryn Waltman, and Leon Blackwood. In 2008, Danny began backup dancing for the contestants of CBC’s “How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?” and soon after danced for such artists as Kreesha Turner, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, and Ke$ha.
In 2009, Danny made it to the Top 14 on CTV’s “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” Season 2, and then spent the next two years assisting Stacey Tookey, Mia Michaels, Blake McGrath, Sean Cheesman, and Luther Brown on Seasons 3 and 4. After the show, he worked closely with Blake McGrath on his music video “The Night,” as well as Shawn Desman’s “Shiver” music video and Keisha Chante’s “Table Dancer” music video. He toured with Blake McGrath to promote his album, “TIME TO MOVE” and appeared in films such as “Frenemies,” “Make Your Move 3D,” “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure,” and “The Descendants.”
Danny spent a year traveling and assisting Mia Michaels at JUMP Dance Convention before moving on to assist at NUVO Dance Convention. Currently, he teaches and sets choreography at various studios nationwide, including training dancers at Club Dance Studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Danny has recently been named the new convention director of 24 Seven Dance Convention, continuing his dedication to inspiring and educating young dancers across the country.
