When is the deadline to audition?
Auditions for the Summer Intensives close Friday April 22nd at 11:59 PM PST. Spots are limited so we encourage interested dancers to apply as soon as they’re able.
Who should join?
Our Summer Intensives are perfect for intermediate to advanced level dancers between the ages of 13 and 18.
Do I have to audition to attend?
Yes, the first step in the audition process is to submit an audition video. We recommend that you submit an existing video of a combination or routine that you’re particularly proud of. Our creative team is reviewing all auditions on a rolling basis and will notify you of your admissions decision within approximately seven days of submission.
Is there a fee to audition?
No, auditioning for the Summer Intensives is free of charge. If you’re invited to the program we’ll send you a special link to complete your registration.

What is the tuition for the Summer Intensive?
Tuition for the CLI Conservatory Summer Intensive includes access to all classes and programming. Special tuition rates are available for existing CLI Studios Members.

Non-Member Tuition – $999
Tuition does not include travel, room, and board, but our team will reach out and provide recommendations for travel logistics to help you plan your trip to the Conservatory.
What is your refund policy?
If the event is canceled for any reason, refunds will be issued within 10 business days of the event date. If a dancer is unable to attend due to sickness or injury, CLI Studios will issue you a credit that can be used towards a future event. Credit requests must be accompanied by a doctor’s note and will be evaluated at the discretion of CLI Studios.
Do I have to pay for my own transportation and lodging?
Transportation, meals, and lodging are not included in tuition but the CLI Studios team will provide recommended options for travel logistics to help you plan your trip to the Conservatory.

Do you provide lodging?
Currently, we do not provide on-site lodging but we have worked with local hotels to provide group rates for our participants. Head to our Parents page here and look for the Travel and Lodging section for instructions about how to book lodging with our partners.
When and where are the CLI Conservatory Summer Intensives being held?
The Summer Intensives will be held onsite at the CLI Conservatory in Easthampton, Massachusetts. Easthampton is roughly three hours from New York City, two hours from Boston, and in the backyard of the iconic performance space Jacob’s Pillow.
We will hold two separate Summer Intensives during the weeks of July 18 to July 23 and July 25 to July 30, respectively. Each intensive is one week long.
What is included in the Summer Intensive?
The Summer Intensive tuition includes six days of daily classes with our world-class faculty, personalized feedback to help you grow as a dancer, a private lesson with a CLI professional dancer, a 1-on-1 photo shoot with a professional dance photographer, an original music video shoot, and more! Our intensives are designed to refine your technique, enhance your creativity, and give you the tools you need to take the next steps in your dance career.
If you’re new to CLI, you’ll also get a year of access to CLI Studios online program with over 1,000 dance classes from 300+ top choreographers.
What is a typical day like at the CLI Conservatory Summer Intensive?
The Conservatory Summer Intensive is designed to provide as many exciting opportunities as possible for dancers with 8 to 10 hours of daily training. Starting at 9:00 AM each day, students will work on their technique with world-renowned choreographers in styles ranging from contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre, and more. In the late afternoon and early evening, students will work in small groups preparing for their music video shoots, participating in their 1:1 professional photoshoots, attending their private lessons with CLI professional dancers, or attending Q&A seminars with our faculty. All daily schedules will be provided in advance of your selected intensive week and will include breaks for meals. Timing for classes, faculty, and training experiences will vary by day and will be included in your schedule.
What sort of classes will be included?
At CLI Studios we believe in the value of well-rounded dance training. Our intensives will include classes in styles like contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre, and more. In addition, dancers will be able to participate in instructor Q&As, dancer wellness classes, a private lesson, a 1-on-1 photoshoot, and a music video shoot.
Who will be teaching at the summer program?
We’re excited to announce that Teddy Forance, Creative Director of the CLI Conservatory, will be teaching alongside Tiler Peck (New York City Ballet), Robert Green (So You Think You Can Dance), and Kenichi Kasamatsu (Ne-Yo, Jennifer Lopez, Daddy Yankee). Additional faculty will be announced on a rolling basis.
Are parents and guardians allowed to sit in on classes?
There will be opportunities for parents and guardians to observe certain classes, participate in instructors’ Q&A sessions, and view and celebrate the output of your dancer’s work on their video shoot project. We will also provide recommendations for local activities that parents can enjoy while they are not participating in intensive programming.
What time does the program begin and end?
Each summer intensive session will start at approximately 9:00 AM on Monday and end at 4:00 PM the following Saturday. Registration for each session will begin the Sunday before the event and before and during classes on Monday. Detailed daily schedules will be provided one week before the event.
Will there be a meal plan available for purchase?
Yes, there we will provide a meal plan option for attendees. Our events team will provide additional information on how to sign up for the meal plan option.

What’s in place to ensure the safety of dancers?
CLI Studios is committed to providing a healthy and safe space for dancers to train, perform, and pursue their passion for dance. All staff members and instructors receive training on best practices for working with students and appropriate workplace behavior. CLI Studios also has clear policies and procedures for reporting, reviewing, and addressing mental and physical health and safety concerns for participants. Procedures for reporting health and safety concerns will be provided to participants and parents before they arrive at the Conservatory.
What are your COVID policies?
The health and safety of dancers, instructors, parents, and our staff is of the utmost importance to CLI Studios. As part of our commitment to health and safety, we will continue to monitor and adhere to all local, state, and federal requirements for COVID safety. Any specific requirements for participants will be communicated prior to the event.
